What a crazy experience! We were so excited last Sunday when it looked pretty likely that we would be getting some snow that night! We had NO idea we would get close to 6 inches or that it would also get a layer of ice on top that stuck around until the next Monday!!! Here's how the week went:
Monday- WOW! Look at all that snow!! This is AWESOME! Let's go play in it!
Tuesday- Cool, the snow is still here, maybe we can go out and play in it (but it's REALLY crunchy snow)
Wednesday- Man, I wish we could at least go to the grocery store today, but I guess we'll go outside and try the snow again (now it's harder, more compact and sorta like an ice rink)
Thursday- CRAP! This stinkin' snow is still here, the roads are still icy and the grass/driveway is like a HUGE ice rink!
Friday- HELP US!! We're stuck at home and we need to leave...we need greasy fast food, we need to be able to go to a grocery store...we need to be able to go outside without falling down from slippery ice!!!
It was a unique experience and I don't necessarily long for it to happen again any time soon! But, I have to say, the best thing about this snow was that we NEVER lost power! And, that was our saving grace, because without power we would not have been able to be entertained by the extensive news coverage, watch movies, play Wii, eat warm food, or stay warm!!

Ang, great sequencing of your feelings about snow in Atlanta! Is pretty, but needs to go away quickly! Love, Aunt Linda
