We're a family of 5 who love doing things together. I am so blessed to have the life that God has given me. I pray that I always give God the glory and don't take my precious family for granted.

Happy Easter! Love, The Milligans
Our neighbor, John, was kind enough to take our family picture this year. We had a wonderful Easter with goodies from the Easter bunny, the story of our risen savior at church, dinner with both sets of precious grandparents and all cousins, and an awesome egg hunt! We were pooped but so blessed after such a busy day!

My baby is 3!
Our sweet baby boy turned 3 years old yesterday! In some ways it seems like just yesterday that he was born! We sure have enjoyed watching our precious 3rd child grow bigger and smarter and even funnier! Trent is a ball of energy who loves to move and explore and run and jump and climb and drive and be outside all the time! And, he still loves to snuggle and watch tv and drink juice. Trent doesn't seem to be lacking in any confidence right now and loves to strut around like he's the boss of everything. He also thinks Bradley is the coolest boy he knows (and he's right!). He loves to copy what Bradley does and says. He has a very natural athletic ability and can pick up a bat and swing it like he's been playing for years. He still loves being behind the wheel...of whatever he manages to find. And, he's quite a good driver! He's very smart and exceptionally good at following directions, as well as making his point if we can't understand his words. And, his talking has gotten much clearer over the last few months. Looks like he'll follow his siblings and the communication won't be totally clear till about 3 1/2-4 years old. He loves to say: "mimi girls" (meanie girls), if he sees a girl on tv, at the store, etc... He's already shown that his loyalty will lie with the boys when it comes to what's cool and tough. He also likes to say, "I hate..." when we have to do something that he doesn't want to do. Ex: it's time for him to take a nap. He'll say, "I hate naps!" or it's time to wash his hands; "I hate wash my hans". etc... He is definitely a funny, clever, spunky little boy. And, his love for his family is precious and sweet!
We love our adorable little 3 year old, Trenty!
Happy Birthday sweet boy!! We love you!

Crazy Buzzard
A few weeks ago, a buzzard was in our garage...just hanging out on Bradley's bike. Dixie was barking like a mad dog because she didn't want it in there. I was a little alarmed because I didn't want it in there either, pooping and making a mess. I showed the kids (from the safety of the laundry room) and then draped Nick's raincoat around me and grabbed a broom to shoo the bird out of the garage. It had a hard time getting out of the garage and when it got to the yard, I realized it couldn't fly because one of it's wings was broken. Poor bird! Oh well, I guess that's survival of the fittest. Dixie chased it to the fence where it painfully flew/hopped onto the fence and into the woods. It was a very large and impressive sight, though.

Cousins at Christmas
This year, Deborah and Joe hosted the Milligan side of the family for Christmas. Between Joe and his 2 sisters, they have 6 kids who had 11 grandchildren. The family gatherings are fun and the kids have a great time playing. From left to right: Evan, Elle, Sophie, Carter, Trent, Bradley, Rachel, Jordan, Shelby and Lauren. Single Mom Reflections
I'll admit...when Nick had to go out of town for 4 days for work, I was very worried about how I/we would live without him. We all love him so much and I sure do depend on him for so many things. Thankfully, we survived and I think we gained a greater appreciation for our sweet husband/father. Days were still filled with school and other activities, but nights were hard. I missed my husband's snoring, his reassuring presence, his help with the kids and the fact that I was "alone" to handle everything...from locking the doors and putting up Dixie to making sure the temps weren't cold enough to turn on the well-house light. It felt like alot by myself. All 3 kids missed daddy, but were so cute about stepping up to help out. Especially Rachel. She was determined to sleep with me for at least 1 night...and she ended up sleeping with me for 2 nights. She helped me put the boys to bed each night, giving them a kiss and then closing the door and turning off the light (as Nick always does) while I rock Trent for a little bit. She is such a precious child who intuitively knows when and how to help when needed. So, we learned that we don't want to get used to daddy being gone on a trip, but we can survive when he is. Anyway, all that to say, one of the things we did one evening was do this cute cat puzzle. It was actually more me and Bradley than Rach and Trent. He's quite the puzzle-solver! And, I guess we'll be ready to handle Nick's next business trip in March. I have a few more puzzles that we haven't solved yet.
