Indians 1st game

what an adorable little Indian!

(pre-game at home) Daddy keeping the energy levels up (Bradley in the middle) On first base
"Good Game!"
big sis protecting brother from the rain

The Indians didn't get to play their entire 1st game, but both teams did get to hit off the tee and run the bases. Bradley was so excited to be playing his first game and I don't know if it was cuter watching him or Nick, who was also very excited, happy and a little nervous. No matter where the ball was hit, all the boys would run for the ball, regardless of where they were positioned on the field. Bradley got a hit off the tee and ran to 1st base. When he was running home and we were cheering for him, he looked at us and slowed down, smiling, like he was savoring and really enjoying all his "people" cheering him on. It was quite precious! Both of the kid's favorite part was when they lined up and clapped hands with the other team, saying "Good game." The rain starting pouring down after only 30 minutes of the game and everyone ran for their umbrellas. Thankfully, big sis went and got her brother and (arm around his shoulders) led him to the car under her Barbie umbrella. We all had a great time watching Bradley play and can't wait to see him again!!

Pirates 1st game!

prettiest little pirate I've ever seen!

(pre-game at home)

drawing in the dirt 1st hit!!!
watching Trent from 3rd base
3rd base: ready to get her guy if she needs to!

The Pirates had a great first game, just before the rain came in! Rachel finally got to see what a game involves. She was so excited to be going to her 1st game!! She hit 1 ball (1 for 2) and ran the bases. She had fun playing and even drawing in the dirt during the game. She did a great job out there representing the Pirates (and Athens Gastroenterology...our sponsor...snicker, snicker!). We all had a great time watching her and look forward to many more games!!

Trenty-Poo Turns 2!!!!!!

Our sweet little Trenty is 2 today! What a precious, sweet, funny little guy that he is. On a daily basis, he keeps us on our toes. We never know if he's going to: play in the toilet, jump on Rachel's bed, turn on tub faucets (and leave them running), stuff fake CD's into the Wii system, pull all the sandwich baggies out of the box, find a marker and write on everything with it, climb the back of a recliner, pull on the blinds till they break, press buttons on the remote control until the tv is so messed up that you have no idea how to get it back, chew a wheel off a hotwheel, etc... Trenty is a very inquisitive, bright little guy and if you turn your back on him for a second, he'll do one (or 2 or 3) of the above mentioned things. But, even with the sometimes aggravating antics of our little boy, we love him dearly and are so thankful to have him in our family!! He still reminds us to say the blessing at meals...every single time. He also loves to hug his siblings when they're hurt, upset, etc... He copies everything Bradley does and wants to be as big as he is. He still loves to be held and rocked and he still holds my lips/mouth when he drinks his juice. He's a little eating-machine who hasn't met many foods that he won't try or doesn't enjoy. He's smart and he's strong and communicates so clearly without saying a word. He loves Rachel so much and treats her like another mother. He is full of joy, full of laughter and full of love!

Happy Birthday to our adorable Trenty-Poo!!

We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stinkers on the stairs

These 5 little stinkers had a great time playing and goofing off a couple of weeks ago. Rach and Juj always have a great time doing their own thing--we hardly see them--playing in Rachel's room or playing school upstairs. The boys mostly play with Alex's favorite- CARS- and run around being silly. Bradley plays some with the boys and some with the girls (when they allow it)-while Trenty is so excited to see Alex (Aex) and Juj (joo-joo) that he can hardly contain his joy.

Pirate's Practice

throwing the ball (looks like over that boy's head)
in "play" mode

soft-toss batting practice

Rachel has been enjoying practicing ball too. She's on the Pirates and her colors are yellow and black. We're excited to see her in action tomorrow!

A little bit of P-T

We are unofficially, casually, doing a little bit of potty-training. We are only doing this because Trent has shown an extreme intrest in sitting on the potty. He loves his Elmo seat and can make himself go pee pee when he sits on the potty. So, before bathtime, we let Trent sit on the potty and he pee pees (most of the time) and then we clap and make a big deal. Then he flushes the potty and that's it. I would love it if he learns how to use the potty sooner than Rachel or Bradley did, but we will see.

Practicing to play!

catching a ground ball
waiting his turn

running the bases--joyfully!

ready to give daddy "5" as he rounds 3rd

Well, the first game is tomorrow (weather permitting) and we're all very excited! Bradley's on the Indians and his colors are blue and red. He looks mighty cute in his uniform and we can't wait to see him in action.
