Last Friday, Bradley's pre-k class had their Harvest Party. The moms who organized it did a great job...really cute, tasty snacks, some adorable little crafts and some yummy-smelling, homemade pumpkin play-doh to play with. When Rachel, Trent and I got there, Bradley was already eating a cupcake next to his buddy, Mark. He was excited about being there and seemed to enjoy himself until he just decided he was ready to go home because he was tired. It's always fun for me to see the kids in the class and watch how they interact with each other. At this age, there's alot of ignoring each other and sticking with mom and dad. All the kids in the class wore their Halloween costumes and looked absolutely adorable. Even some siblings wore their costumes. Trent particularly liked one sibling who was dressed like a tiger...he kept walking up to her and hugging her from behind. She didn't really know what to think.
We love MHPA and are so thankful to have Ms. Jan and Ms. Kim again as pre-k teachers. They are still just as sweet and kind as they were when Rachel was in their pre-k class...and they're so kind and inclusive of her since she's the oldest sibling who attends anything. Bradley's really thriving and learning so much at school. He loves it and really seems to just be opening up more and more each day. We love our Bradley-poo and are so proud of the sweet, kind boy that he is!!

Finished!!

This year was an extra-fun Halloween because the Lanes are baaaaacckk!!!!! Both sets of grandparents came over tonight to see the kiddos in their costumes and even Grammy drove up from Bainbridge to see Juj and Alex and visit with us for a little bit. It was a great time filled with GREAT food (thanks mom and Deb!!) and super cute kids! We went to our usual neighborhood and had so much fun trick or treating! Trent loved trick or treating even though he did NOT want to wear his costume! I'm so glad I got a couple of good pictures of him in it the other night, because he wasn't having ANY of it tonight! Rachel and Bradley enjoyed every minute and really racked up on candy this year. It was such a fun evening! Now I'm just going to have to decide what we're going to do with all this candy...we sure don't need to eat it all!!!!!

Happy Halloween-2010!

This is a picture of the kids before we went to the Fall festival at our church the other night. They got to wear their costumes and play games, eat good food and play. And, it was a bonus that Wendy, Juj and Alex came too! Lots more pictures to come after the much anticipated trick or treating happens!

Go Dawgs! Sic 'Em!! WOOF-WOOF!

Bradley's stance

(sometimes Trent likes to sit apart from his sibs)

Nick has a football buddy...and it's Bradley! They both like watching football together on Saturdays and Sundays. Bradley loves cheering for the Dawgs and the Falcons! Recently, Nick taught Bradley how to "hike" the ball, a football stance and he loves doing them. These pics were from one Saturday (during the GA game) when they were practicing the stance and then running and tackling a pillow. Trent wanted to get in on it too. Who knows, maybe we have a little football player or two on our hands. We'll see. The awesome jersey is thanks to our good buddy and hand-me-down supplier, Carter Mazzawi. Thanks Carter!!

A few weeks ago, Bradley's pre-k class went to the pumpkin patch. Rachel, Trent and I went along too. The patch is a really fun place to go...with hayrides, slides, a petting zoo, a new giant bounce pillow and of course pumpkins! The kids learned about pumpkins and how they grow and at the end got to pick out their very own pie-pumpkin. Obviously the small kind used for making pies. We had a great time watching Bradley interact (or not) with his friends and of course getting to spend time together. Trent LOVED the hay ride and would have ridden on that all day if he could have. Rachel was a huge help-as always- and enjoyed playing. And, it was nice to get to meet Bradley's best buddy in pre-k, Mark. We've heard alot about Mark and how they play together in "free-choice" during centers, building skyscrapers and playing cars. I was glad to get to meet Mark's mom, who was very sweet and said that Mark talks alot about Bradley. Turns out Mark is very shy and quiet. Interesting that my kids are drawn to shy kids as their best friends. Rachel's best friend in pre-k, Kate, was also extremely introverted and shy. Anyway, we're looking forward to having Mark over for a playdate soon!

It's pumpkin carvin' time!

We carved our pumpkins very late this year compared to most years. Most years we do it too early and our pumpkins are rotten, stinky and caving-in well before Halloween arrives. We "attempted" to shave/engrave our pumpkins. I sketched our designs...the kids picked...and Nick and I shaved them. We actually did a decent job of shaving, but poor Rachel's pumpkin is supposed to be a frog (exactly like one of her shirts), but it's VERY hard to tell what it is. So, we were a little disappointed in the outcome, but I think we'll try the shaving thing again next year...with an actual pattern this time. These are obviously pre-shaved...I still have to take a pic of them afterwards. The kids were very excited, though, as you can tell. Trent didn't care too much, he just walked around and played.

Sleeping Stinker

The most quiet and still that our Trenty ever is...is during slumber...and that's NOT that still or quiet, some nights! This was a pic of him one day at the end of his nap. It's only bright because I used my flash, but the boy's room is dark, quiet and cool. They have the darkest room during the day thanks to the awesome sunblocking curtains. Some days I have to go in and wake up sleeping Trenty if he goes past 4:00 so that he'll still go to bed at night. I loved looking at his relaxed, little sprawled out position with him laying on all his satiny-silk blankies.
Sleep tight stinker-pie...you have MUCH to get into upon waking! Love you Trenty-poo!
